Welcome to SavZr0 - a digital magazine dedicated to games, fandom, and the many ways we feel, create, and connect through them.
This space was built for the players, the fans, the modders, the overthinkers, and anyone who has ever cared too much about fictional worlds. Whether you write essays about your favourite game endings, want to reflect on a character arc that changed you, or have thoughts about the intersection of fandom and culture, we want to hear from you.
Online Submissions are currently closed!
What We’re Looking For
Personal pieces on gaming and fandom culture
Reviews of games, especially niche or overlooked titles
Think pieces on character design, mechanics, modding, or in-game communities
Fandom-focused essays; ship essays, long-form meta, trope discussions
Culture features exploring how games overlap with identity, music, fashion, or everyday life
Nostalgia deep-dives into old internet culture, fan spaces, or gaming eras
Please Note
We do not accept CVs, poetry, or standalone art submissions
All pieces must be original and not published elsewhere
You do not need to be a professional writer to submit; just someone with something to say
Pitches are welcome if you want to check an idea before drafting

Writing
We accept personal essays, reviews, opinion pieces, and features about gaming, fandom, online culture, identity, nostalgia, and storytelling. If you have a topic in mind that feels right for SavZr0 but isn’t listed here, feel free to include a short description with your submission or pitch; we’re open to fresh angles and voices.
We do not accept articles intended for self-promotion or advertorial content.
Personal Essays: These should fall between 600 and 1,200 words. Think emotional connection, player experiences, or stories that reflect how games shape us.
Reviews/Previews: Aim for 800 to 1,500 words, offering an honest and personal look at a game, update, or trend. We especially love under-the-radar titles or fandom-heavy perspectives.
Feature Articles: For deeper dives, including long-form analysis, fandom history, interviews, or broader culture pieces, you can go up to 2,000 words to explore your topic in full.
Pitches
If you’re not ready to send a full draft, you can pitch an idea instead. Keep it short and clear — a couple of sentences explaining your angle is perfect. We’ll let you know if it fits and offer feedback if needed.
